THE CUBS WIN!!!!

The 45+ Cubs walked off the field Sunday morning carrying the Steve Rizzo Cup following a 7-3 victory over the game Spartans in the first ever 45+ PMBL championship game. Solid pitching by Mike Willcox, Peter Langford and Ross Stoner held the Spartans in check most of the game. A clutch single by Brad Snyder drove in two runs, including the winner, as part of a 5 run outburst in the 4th. Unfortunately Rizzo was still in New York and was not present to witness the trophy presentation….I’m sure it would have been quite emotional if he had been there. Players are already looking forward to next year and have been spreading the news about this new division. Things look quite promising for having 4 teams next year. On behalf of all the players we would like to thank Manny and his boys in blue for helping us out as well as the support of Bevan and the rest of the PMBL executive.
