In the first all wood bat game in PMBL history the Mudcats outlasted the Firebirds 11-10. Both teams struck for three runs in the first. The Mudcats scored four in the third before the Firebirds responded with five in the top of the fourth to take an 8-7 lead. The 'cats scored four more times in the fifth to lead 11-8. The Firebirds scored twice in the seventh and had the tying run on third base when the game ended.
