Winning Pitcher
Warren Eamer
A wooden bat game that produced lots
of runs as both teams battled to the end. For the Razorbacks Rob
Crowe continued his torrid hitting streak going 3 for 3 with a bunt
single in the first and a line double in the fourth for 2 rbi's.
Despite missing some regulars and down a man, the A's squeaked out a
W in yet another close battle with the Razorbacks. Down two at the
end of the third and one more heading in to the fifth Warren Eamer
had his work cut out for him considering the last time he that many
pitches was at the PNE a couple of years back. The Razorbacks were
hitting the ball well wood bats be damned!! as they found all the
gaps in the early going. Then it was the A's turn to string a few
together and set up Scott "Money in the Bank" Rollins for the first
of 5 RBI's to take the lead in to the sixth. The Back's never backed
off though, and made good on their opportunities to tie up scoring
two in the bottom of the sixth. That set the stage for Brody "My
Swing is Starting to Come Around" Hutchinson aka Mayes-Hays to
triple in the seventh bring in Simunac and scoring himself later for
insurance.
