Winning Pitcher
Ron Clarkson

Another Firebird/Mudcat matchup that saw the Mudcats bats again punch up many runs early on. The balls were falling everywhere for the Cats. Ron Clarkson pitched a great game 5 2/3 innings (4-4, 1-3B, 4-SB, 3-R, 3-RBI) and John Yeomans (4-5, 1-2B, 3-R, 3-RBI) shook off the rehab rust to close it out for his first appearance on the hill since May. Charles Thacker flew in from Chicago just a few hours before the game just in time to slide into the first inning batting order and hit one of his three doubles to blow things wide open (4-4, 3-2B,3-RBI). The Mudcats continue to bring up new talent from the minors each game seeing yet 2 more young players make their debut. Jeff Rodgers, and Joe? (didn't even catch his last name!!!) both making some great defensive plays in the win.
