The 'birds and 'backs battled it out over two separate days to break their sixth place tie in the standings. It all started on a dark and stormy night on July 25 at Heritage. The 'birds jumped out of the gate to score 4 runs in the first on four hits and added a single run in the second. Don Boscher held the 'backs scoreless over the two innings. Then the light show and downpour came and brought things to a halt.The teams gathered to finish things off on another cloudy but dry night at Thompson on Aug 7. Bill Boscher took the mound for the Firebirds for the remaining five innings and threw a solid game, holding the Razorbacks to 4 runs while his offence managed to add another 3. Don Boscher ended up going 5 for 5! with a double, a run scored and 3 rbi's. Mike Willcox was 2 for 4 with 4 runs scored.
