It was yet another close R-backs vs Mudcat match up that gave both teams a chance right down to the last pitch. Ron Clarkson (3IP, 5R, 2H, 3 K's) was fighting it through the first two but the Cats came out with a 5-0 lead. In the 3rd inning the wheels fell off for the Mudcats and they committed their 2nd error of the season, then the 3rd, 4th, and 5th all consecutively. Yes, the R-Backs scored 4 runs on 1 hit in the inning to make it a game. Ron had enough after that and Chad Costello (4IP, 1R, 3H, 5S/O) came in to shut it down. Mark Worsley came up big offensively in the 6th punching in 2 runs to give the Mudcats the insurance they needed. R-Backs pitcher (missed his name) was good all night and for the most part kept the ball on the ground without luck on his side. POG-Jeff English - solid in centerfield and again was big with his bat going 2-3, 2B, RBI.
