Winning Pitcher
Steven Washi

In a game that saw the lead change four times the cubs prevailed behind strong pitching from Steven Washi. Washi got stronger as the game went on finishing with a complete game win, not allowing a hit in the last four innings and striking out fourteen. The Razorbacks turned two double plays, one on a bases loaded situation with a dropped shallow fly ball to left, the Cubs runners had no idea what to do as the Razorbacks got a force at second and got the second runner out in a run down between 2nd and 3rd. The other double play came in the fifth, with the Cubs behind 4-3 at the time, they loaded the based with one out only to hit into the 6-4-3 double play preventing the tying run from scoring. The Cubs were aided by Scooter when he was forced into action due to injury, came up with a key single with one out in the sixth, that lead to the tying run.
