Winning Pitcher
Dick Moffat

The Razorbacks put together probably their best overall game of the season with good pitching, defense and some timely hitting. Dick Moffat pitched 6 2/3 scoreless innings but the Cubs got a string of 7th inning hits to spoil the shutout. The offense was led by John Turnbull who put one out over the left field fence and added a double driving in 4 runs, and Barry Babcock hit 3 doubles.
