Former teammates Barry Babcock and Kevin Beaudry faced each other and locked in for a pitchers dual. The Cardinals scored first as Rich Dandrea knocked in the games first run. Scott Steele led off the 4th with a double, stole third and scored off a wild pitch, which proved to be the winning run. Wes Morris added an insurance run with an RBI single in the 7th. Both pitchers went the distance in a well played game.
