The Dodgers decided to pull numbers from a hat to determine position and batting order, and it came into play in the top of the 1st when Blair Olynyk hit a laser to Grozdanich who was playing left field for maybe the first time in his life. Grozdanich decided to try and make a highlight reel catch and laid out but was 5 feet from the ball. Thinking his centre fielder was backing him up he took his time to get up and track the ball down. With a strong throw to his cut-off man at short and another strong one hopper to the plate, Blair was DOA but wily veteran catcher Derlago had the ball skip through his glove and Blair was safe. Highlight of the game was Mike Cavanagh, who hasn't pitched in probably 10 years, pitched the 7th inning and struck out all three batters he faced. The Dodgers now sit and wait to see who they will face in round 1.
