Winning Pitcher
Murray Beauvais

Murray Beauvais picked up the win in relief of Ryan O'Hara. The Cobras struck first in the top of the first as Bruce Dorwart walked and came home on a two out double by Murray Beauvais that would have plated two runs but the second runner missed third base on his way home and was called out for the final out. The Firebirds missed chances to score in the first and second before getting a two out single from Don Boscher that scored Darryl Palmer. The Cobras left the based loaded in the third and finally broke though with a pair in the fifth on a single by Doug Perkins. The Firebirds responded in the last of the fifth on a two run single by Rick Doran tying the game at 3-3. The Cobras broke it wide open in  the sixth scoring five runs, capped off by Ryan O'Hara's double down the first base line that scored two. With the win, the Cobras keep their first place fate in their hands, while the Firebirds can still lock up third place with a win in their final game vs. the surging Red Sox.
