Rick Kim drove in three runs including two on a line double to the fence in the third. Steve Madden had two hits and scored two runs. The Razorbacks held a 5-0 lead after three innings on strong pitching from Jeff Davis. The Firebirds scored two on a Bill Boscher double in the top of the fourth that plated Bevan Blatchford and Paul Whintors from first. The Razorbacks scored one in the last of the fifth to lead 6-2 but the Firebirds roared back to tie it in the sixth with four runs two of which scored on a line shot double by Darryl Palmer, his league leading ninth double of the season. The Razorbacks took the lead in the bottom half as Steve Madden scored on a Sean Schultz grounder when the Firebirds were late on turning the double play. The Firebirds were able to rally in the top of the seventh on a Bevan Blatchford single to right field, scoring the tying run from third in Rick Doran. Paul Whintors followed with an infield single up the middle that scored Aaron Turgeon with the eventual winning run. The 'birds tacked on a couple more to take a 10-7 lead to the bottom of the seventh. Bill Boscher didn't allow anything in the last half striking out two out of three batters to end the game.
